Pam and Doug moved to Talbot County in 2011. Both are veterans of the U.S. Army and the corporate world.
Pam and Doug deployed together to the First Gulf War in 1990, and Pam went on to deploy to Afghanistan in 2004.
They enjoyed interesting and varied careers in the military, at for- and non-profit corporations, with local government, and in small business.
They have experienced a lot during their lifetime together, and can fully appreciate life on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
How We Work
Doug is the brawn behind our small operation. He created the garden beds, and keeps the property looking great. He never tires of a new garden project. (Well, that's not really true!)
He is a former business owner in Easton, and a founding member of the Easton Economic Development Corporation. He has a love for Easton and Talbot County, and an appreciation for small business owners.
Pam plans, plants, and maintains the gardens, and harvests the fruits of their labor. She cannot stop buying seeds and trying new plants, so sales of her flowers helps support her seed addiction.
Pam is a certified Master Gardener through the University of Maryland Extension Service. She is trained in Bay Wise gardening practices and their property is Bay Wise certified. That means they practice sustainable gardening practices that are "bay friendly.".
Pam is also a past -president of the Talbot County Garden Club, and is active with several committees.
Pam and Doug are parents to a son and daughter, and grandparents to three exceptional granddaughters.
Gardening Is Their Passion
For Pam and Doug, gardening and landscaping have always been a passion, as well as a way to keep their family grounded, so to speak, wherever they've lived.
From Virginia to Texas to Maryland, Doug and Pam have produced beautiful landscapes and gardens, have raised vegetables, utilized composting, and practiced sustainable gardening methods.
Moving to Easton allowed them to expand their gardens. They now grow vegetables, berries, apples, figs, pears, and flowers on just over five acres.
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to grow and spread joy through flowers.
